Week 14 NFL DFS Cheat Sheet – 2023

As the NFL season approaches its twilight, teams are scrambling for playoff spots like Black Friday shoppers vie for the last discount TV. We start our coverage with three barnburners that promise fantasy point fireworks.

Buckle up. It’s crunch time on the gridiron.

Shootouts Alert: 3 Games That Could Generate Fat Fantasy Totals

  1. Buffalo Bills (-2.5) at Kansas City Chiefs (+2.5) – O/U 47.5
    • The Bills have seen offensive success since changing their offensive coordinator, scoring at least 32 points in back-to-back games.
    • Josh Allen has 7 TDs across those two games.
    • Patrick Mahomes and KC haven’t looked like their Super Bowl selves as of late, but now they get a date with a Buffalo D that just coughed up 37 points to Philly.
  2. Seattle Seahawks (+10.5) at San Francisco 49ers (-10.5) – O/U 46.5
    • Brock Purdy rebounded from a Week 12 dud last week with 314 passing yards and 4 touchdowns.
    • Purdy’s receiving corp should have plenty of success as they face a Seattle D ranked 26th in the league in fantasy points allowed to WRs.
    • DK Metcalf will have a chance to build on his 3 TD performance in Week 13, as the 49ers have a DvPL4 of 32.5 against wide receivers. Albeit, he may be more of a decoy this week.
  3. Denver Broncos (+2.5) at Los Angeles Chargers (-2.5) – O/U 44.0
    • The Broncos have rushed for over 100 yards in three of their last four games.
    • After just 29 rushing yards in Week 13, a matchup with Denver could be just what LA needs as the Broncos are the NFL’s worst in FPs allowed to running backs.
    • Russell Wilson has a money matchup as he faces an LA D ranked 28th in FPs allowed to quarterbacks.

Rebound Plays:  3 stars coming off one or more dud performances, with strong matchups

  1. Austin Ekeler, RB, Los Angeles Chargers, $7,600
    • Ekeler’s salary has dropped by $1,000 since Week 11, thanks partly to a Week 13 outing that saw the running back muster up just 18 rushing yards.
    • If the veteran runner is going to turn his season around, it’ll be this week against the NFL’s worst run D in terms of fantasy points allowed to RBs.
    • While it hasn’t resulted in TDs in recent weeks, Ekeler has a median of 3.5 red zone opportunities per game across his last four contests.
  2. Davante Adams, WR, Las Vegas raiders, $7,500
    • Adams hasn’t produced a 100-yard receiving game since Week 3 but maintains a huge target percentage of 32% over his last three games.
    • Despite the yardage slump, Adams has been viable with a floor of 16.0 FPs per game in his last three.
    • While he hasn’t eclipsed 100 yards in a while, Adams is averaging over 80 yards per game across his last three.
  3. Devin Singletary, RB, Houston Texans, $5,700
    • Singletary surprisingly struggled in Week 13 against Denver, but will have an opportunity to rebound against the Jets and their DvPL4 25.9 FPs to runners.
    • With a median of 3.5 red zone opportunities per game in his four contests, he should have chances at snagging a TD.
    • Before the last two weeks, Singletary had two straight games of over 100 yards and at least one touchdown.

Prop Bonanza: Flex players with high prop-to-salary ratios

  1. Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB, KC, $4,200
    • 2nd best [TDCost] on the slate; Isiah Pacheco is out; BUF is RB-friendly; big point total; -157 TD prop
  2. Joe Mixon, RB, CIN, $6,100
    • 3rd best [TDCost]; -139 TD prop; a favorite in Indy; and facing a Run-D that’s -1.5 standard deviations below average
  3. Gerald Everett, TE, LAC, $3,500
    • 2nd best TE [TDCost]; at home to a Denver D that allows the 2nd most FPs to TEs
